That is the entire list. CostPreview is new, and one calculator in one city is genuinely all we have built. More project types are the plan, not a promise — we would rather get this one right than publish six half-checked ones.
How the estimates are built
- Published local installer pricing, collected per city and kept in one versioned file, so any estimate can be reproduced exactly as it was shown.
- The details that actually move a price — size, condition, and how much preparation the job needs — asked in plain language rather than trade terms.
- A range, never a single figure. “Not sure” widens the range instead of quietly assuming the cheapest case.
How this is meant to pay for itself
Eventually, by charging contractors for enquiries from homeowners who ask to be put in touch — not by charging you, and not by selling your details to whoever bids highest.
None of that is running yet. No contractor is signed up, no enquiry has been passed to anyone, and nothing is charged to anybody. We say so on the calculator too, because a homeowner deciding whether to leave their number deserves to know it goes nowhere today.
